Traffic-Free TT Racing

Summary

DB Max are back with the classic Pronto Bikes Castle Combe 10 Mile TT.

The event is at held at the world famous Castle Combe race circuit and provide safe, traffic free racing suitable for all abilities and anyone over the age of 10.

The Castle Combe 10 mile TT series has become increasingly popular over the years and we have regular fields of up to 100 riders spread out over the course of the evening. The event provides safe, traffic-free racing and is suitable for all levels of rider. As well as the first timers we also regularly have professional athletes and even Olympic medal winners attending. 

The race on the super-smooth surface will again be sponsored by Pronto Bikes.

Competitors go off at 30 to 60 second intervals.

Race Start

First rider off between 17:30 and 17:45 (depending on when we can access the track)

Waves are selected when booking but it is reasonably flexible on race night.

Registration & Briefing Instructions

Registration Time: From 17:15

Briefing Time: At the start line

Timing chips will be collected from the registration desk on race day. Details of allocated race numbers will be available online and on smartphones before the event.

Competitors will be briefed on the day while registering. Information on the course and rules relative to competitor safety will be outlined.

Competitors are responsible for counting their own bike laps – plan how to do this to avoid mistakes on the day. The timing system will produce results for each lap and anyone not completing the required 5 laps will be disqualified.

In 2024 we will be going clockwise for the summer TT series.

Important points:

  • Riders can do an approximate 1 mile warm-up on their way to the race start (clockwise direction). Please stay on the outside of the track and off the racing line, while warming up.
  • Riders must do a 1-lap cool down after finishing before they can exit the track (clockwise direction). Please stay on the outside of the track and off the racing line, while cooling down.

The minimum age for a 10 Mile TT is 10 years of age and the minimum age for a 25 Mile TT is 13 years of age.
