Summary

Back for 2023, the second running of the Chippenham Spring 10 Miler. A fast, predominantly flat course.

The 10 mile route starts and finishes in Monkton Park in the heart of Chippenham before heading out on to the quiet country roads and around the town on a predominantly flat course.

The race starts at 10:00 and there is plenty of parking in the town, just a short walk from the start and finish.

• Chip timing.
• The #dbmaxpaceteam on hand to guide you to your goals and PB’s. We have pacers from 65 minutes though to 120 minutes.

• Registered with the UKA/Run Britain - Permit Number 2023-45644

iTaB

In 2023 for just £8 you can have your medal personalised with your name, position and finish time and if you’re keen, your splits too. Your details and results will be engraved on a small plate which fits neatly into the back of your medal. See itab for an example.

The event has now sold out, however we are offering people the opportunity to run in the event, on the proviso that they will not receive a medal. Please enter at Race HQ between 08:45 and 09:45. If medals are available due to people not attending then you will be able to collect a medal.

Day entries are available for this event.
£25.00 affiliated, £27.00 unaffiliated.

Registration & Briefing Times

Registration is from 08:45 and will close 15 minutes before the race start. The race briefing will take place ten minutes prior to race start.
Race numbers and timing chips will be collected on race day.

Getting Here

Getting to the venue couldn’t be easier and it is only a short distance from Junction 17 of the M4. Car times from Major Cities are

London – 1 hour 30 minutes
Birmingham – 1 hour 30 minutes
Bristol – 35 minutes
Cardiff – 60 minutes
Swansea – 1 hour 45 minutes
Exeter – 1 hour 30 minutes

Parking

Parking is available in one of the town centre car parks just a short walk from the race start and finish. Available car parks are – Bath Road (SN15 2SA and free on a Sunday) or the Train Station (SN15 3QQ, parking charges apply). Details on parking will be sent to you in advance of race day.

Cut Off Times

There are no official cut off times for the event, but the event marshals will be removed from the course after 2.5 hours and anyone taking longer than this will have to make their way back safely themselves.

To successfully run our events we require the help and support of Marshals and Volunteers. if you are able to assist at the event or have friends, family, work colleagues or enemies who may be able to help, then please contact James Higgs on james@dbmax.co.uk in return we offer free entries in to future DB Max events and if you are lucky a bacon roll and cup of coffee…..

What is the difference between an affiliated and unaffiliated entry?

An affiliated entry means you are a member of a running club who are registered to either the ARC (association of running clubs) or the UKA (United Kingdom Athletics). An unaffiliated entry is for someone who is not a member of a club or their club is not registered with either of these bodies.

What is the minimum age to take part in the Chippenham Spring 10 Mile?

The minimum age for this event is 16 on the day of the race.

Is the Chippenham Spring 10 Mile registered with the UKA so results can go on the Power of 10?

Yes, the event is registered with the UKA.

Am I allowed to wear headphones at the Chippenham Spring 10 Miler

Bone conducting headphones are permitted, however all other types of headphones are not.

Where can I find the photo’s from the event?

All photo’s will be available to view on the results page when the photographer has finished uploading them. Please allow up to 48 hours after the event for them to be uploaded.

Will there be pacers at this event?

At 10k's we have pacers at the following times.

38/40/42/45/48/50/52/55/58/60/62/65/70/75 minutes

At our Half Marathons we have pacers at the following times

1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, 3:00 Hours

At our 10 Miles we have pacers at the following minute/miles

6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00
