DB Max Joins Forces With New Company, i-Compete

i-Compete is a new company founded by James Higgs, the long-term Events Director of many of DB Max’s events. A number of these events will now be run under the banner of i-Compete, allowing DB Max to focus more resources on the race timing side of the business.

DB Max, based in Melksham near Bath, has evolved over the years to become a leading race timing and event management company in the UK. Specialising in comprehensive race solutions, the company offers a range of services including race timing, race pack fulfilment, online entry, event infrastructure, and event management.

Will Whitmore expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "This is an exciting development for both myself and James, who has been an integral part of the events since the very early days. It's fantastic for both of us, that a number of the events will now be solely James’ responsibility and this move allows us both to develop our businesses strategically going forward.”

James Higgs is delighted with the development and said: “I am excited to develop my event organising journey with i-Compete and am looking forward to carrying on the great work of DB Max. I am very grateful to Will for this opportunity and it’s great that this venture allows us to continue to work closely together going forward.”

The new collaboration shows a shared commitment to delivering exceptional race experiences and results services. DB Max aims to further develop its race timing expertise, whilst both companies remain committed to an ongoing passion for organising exceptional events.
