New to the DB Max calendar for 2016 is the Westonbirt House Christmas 10k.

Join DB Max on December 11th for the inaugural Westonbirt House Christmas 10k at the stunning Westonbirt House and Gardens. The #finishinthebar theme will be back with a mulled wine and mince pie offer – although you won’t have to run up all those steps for this Christmas run.

In 2016 for just £8 you can have your medal personalised with your name, position and finish time and if you’re keen, your splits too. Your details and results will be engraved on a small plate which fits neatly into the back of your medal. See itab for an example.

Join us for dinner in the Great Hall starting at around 14:00. For just £25.00 you can have a 2 course Christmas meal with all the trimmings and a welcome glass of mulled wine. There is also a children’s Christmas dinner option for £17.50 or alternatively chicken nuggets and chips for just £10.00. Showers and changing are available after the race.

The event start venue is Westonbirt House. The address is Westonbirt House, Westonbirt, Nr Tetbury, Glos, GL8 8QG.

Getting here
Getting to the venue couldn’t be easier and it is only a short distance from Junction 18 of the M4. Car times from Major Cities are

London – 1 hour 45 minutes
Birmingham – 1 hour 30 minutes
Bristol – 35 minutes
Cardiff – 60 minutes
Swansea – 1 hour 45 minutes
Exeter – 1 hour 45 minutes

The venue has plenty of parking. You will be directed in to the School from the main road and through the main gates. Please take care when leaving the venue.

Make a day of it
The bar will be open all afternoon and the gardens will be open both before and after the race, so why not make a day of it and bring the family and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Of course we would love you to come and enjoy a Christmas lunch with us after the race as well.

Race Packs
Your race packs will be posted to you and will be with you before race day. Please note you may not pass your bib on to another runner. This is very important because of our event insurance. Anyone found running under a number which isn’t theirs, will be disqualified immediately and reported to the ARC. Please note there are no transfers, refunds or deferrals available after 26th November. Your race pack will contain your runner bib, safety pins and your ShoeTag timing chip.

On The Day Enquiries and Briefing Times
There will be an Information Desk in Westonbirt House, open from 10:30 until 11:45. General race enquiries, bag drop, #finishinthebar wrist straps and race pack issues, will all be handled here. There will also be two mobile ‘How can I help you?’ staff who can be identified by their labelled, high-viz vests.. Race briefing will be held 10 minutes prior to the race start

To successfully run our events we require the support of Marshals and Volunteers. If you are able to assist at the event or have friends, fmaily, work colleagues or enemies who may be able to help then please contact James Higgs on james@dbmax.co.uk. In return we offer free entries in to future DB Max events of a similar type.
