2016 sees the launch of Titan Dartmoor, following on from the huge success of Titan Brecon. The event forms part of the Titan Series and promises to be one of the toughest middle distance races on the British event calendar.

Dawlish Warren provides a stunning location for this middle distance race with a sea swim, a bike route that takes in the ‘iconic’ Haytor climb (used as the only ever mountain top finish of the Tour of Britain) before a beautiful run along the coastal path to the town of Dawlish.

There’ll be a £500 cash prize for the winning Titan Man or Titan Woman,as well as a ‘special prize’ for the fastest ascent of Haytor. Whatever your triathlon passion, this is an event not to be missed…!

The event is located at the beautiful holiday resort of Dawlish Warren and is easily accessible from Devon, Cornwall, Bristol, Birmingham, London and the South West by both car and train.

The 1.2 mile swim is a two-lap course and takes place in the clean sea waters of Dawlish Warren and is overseen by Dawlish Warren Lifesaving Club.

The 60-mile bike course takes you out on to Dartmoor with the major climb of the race being up the ‘iconic’ Haytor. It’s then on to some of the most stunning areas of the Dartmoor National Park.

The final 13.1 mile run is a four-lap out and back route along the sea wall to the town of Dawlish and back, making it great for spectators!

Cut Offs

There are no official cut offs for each section of Titan Dartmoor, though we do expect competitors to be close to finishing within 8.5 hours. However, we take a common sense approach on this, and if you are close to completing you will be able to finish. If you are deemed to be a danger to yourself you will be asked to stop, or if you are taking significantly longer than we deem acceptable you again will be asked to stop. For more information on cut offs please email  james@dbmax.co.uk
