Summary

Officially measured 10k run over a flat, smooth, running surface on the famous Castle Combe race circuit.

Safe, traffic-free, multi-lap 10k running event. Suitable for beginners and experienced runners alike.

The race starts on the track and takes in 3 laps of the race track before finishing in the pit lane.

In 2022 for £8 you can have your medal personalised with your name, position and finish time and if you’re keen, your splits too. Your details and results will be engraved on a small plate which fits neatly into the back of your medal. See itab for an example.

Elite Entry

We will have a number of spaces for elite athletes. For any male who runs sub 32 or female who runs sub 35, please contact james@dbmax.co.uk to sort your place.

Wheelchairs/Visual Impairment

The event is suitable for the visually impaired as long as this is detailed to the organiser in advance.

Unfortunately, following recent risk assessments and consultation with our insurance providers, the event is not suitable for wheelchair athletes.

Registration & Briefing Times

Race bibs are collected from registration on race day. Briefings are done via video and a link is sent to you in advance of race day. The race video briefing is compulsory to watch.

Pacers

The #dbmaxpaceteam will be on hand to guide you to your new PB. We will have pacers in the following time slots – 38/40/42/45/48/50/52/55/58/60/62/65/70/75 minutes.

To successfully run our events we require the help and support of Marshals and Volunteers. if you are able to assist at the event or have friends, family, work colleagues or enemies who may be able to help, then please contact James Higgs on james@dbmax.co.uk in return we offer free entries in to future DB Max events…

Getting Here

Getting to the venue couldn’t be easier and it is only a short distance from Junction 17 of the M4. Car times from Major Cities are

London – 1 hour 30 minutes
Birmingham – 1 hour 30 minutes
Bristol – 35 minutes
Cardiff – 60 minutes
Swansea – 1 hour 45 minutes
Exeter – 1 hour 30 minutes

Parking

The venue has plenty of parking. You will be directed in to the circuit from the main road through the main competitor gates. Please drive with consideration to other users.

FAQ

What is the minimum age to take part in a 10k run?

The minimum age for a 10k run is 15 years of age on the day of the race.

Are dogs allowed at this event?

Yes, but they must be kept on leads and any mess cleared up.

Where can I find the photo’s from the event?

All photo’s will be available to view on the results page when the photographer has finished uploading them. Please allow up to 48 hours after the event for them to be uploaded.

Can I wear Headphones?

Bone conducting headphones are permitted, but you must still be able to hear marshals instructions. No other type of headphones are permitted and failure to comply will result in a disqualification.

Is the event registered with the UKA/Run Britain so my results show on the power of 10?

Yes, the event is registered with the UKA so your results will show on the Power of 10.

Will there be pacers at this event?

At 10k's we have pacers at the following times.

38/40/42/45/48/50/52/55/58/60/62/65/70/75 minutes

At our Half Marathons we have pacers at the following times

1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, 3:00 Hours

At our 10 Miles we have pacers at the following minute/miles

6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00
