Brand New for 2022. The Bristol Swim Festival. A day of open water swimming with individual and relay races suitable for all abilities.

DB Max are delighted to announce the all new Bristol Swim Festival, held at Cromhall Quarry on Saturday 2nd July 2022. The event will start at 13:30 and run throughout the day until 19:30 and promises to be one of the biggest and best events of its type in the South West. There will be distances to suit every person from a 5k swim to 500 metre relays. The full itinerary of the day is below:

13:30 – 5k swim starts (individuals)
14:00 – 1500 metre swim starts (individuals)
15:15 – 1000 metre relays (teams of  2 or 3)
16:45 – 750 metre swim starts (individuals)
17:30 – 750 metre relays (teams of 2 or 3)
18:30 – 500 metre relays (teams of 2 or 3)

If entering as a team of 2, please note that one member of the team will have to swim 2 legs to ensure the full distance is done, i.e in the 500 metre relay the total distance to swim will be 1500 metres which means 1 swimmer in a team of 2 will have to swim 1000 metres with the other doing 500 metres. Teams of 3 will swim 500 metres each.

Relays – £40 per team (enter additional relay events and get a £20 discount per event)

Time Limits

There are no official time limits for each event. However, from the timetable above, if you are still swimming towards the end of slots, other events may have started too.

Age Restrictions

The age restrictions for each event are as follows:

5k – Minimum age 18
1500 metres – Minimum age 13
1000 metres – Minimum age 13
750 metres – Minimum age 12
500 metres – Minimum age 10

Registration and Briefing Times

Full details on registration will be sent out approximately 10 days before the event. You will be able to register from approximately 1 hour before each event.
