245 people ran at the EAS Castle Combe 10k on November 23rd and were quickly followed by 423 competitors in the Trybike Chilly Duathlon.
So a busy day at the office, both for DB Max Events and for DB Max Precision Timing, but the team worked superbly well and the full set of results is available above. The bike lap splits proved very popular for the athletes and of the 420 competitors that crossed the finish line, only one cycled too many laps (6) and only one cycled too few (4). The bike lap timing looks set to prove very useful in confirming lap count for all our future races at Castle Combe and Mallory Park and also at the Palmer Park cycle track in Reading.
We had planned to produce lap splits for the all runners in the EAS 10k too, but unfortunately most of the runners ran straight over the cones that were supposed to guide them over the timing point. 16 runners took the correct route for every lap though and their lap splits are available above. We are currently building an even longer timing loop (20m) and all being well with testing, will use that one for our Castle Combe 10k on March 1st 2009.
Next outing for DB Max Precision Timing is the Gloucester 20 Mile Road Race on Sunday March 8th.
262 people turned out to race on the grass and in the mud with TriFerris Promotions today and DB Max Precision Timing were on hand to time the event. With two consecutive races over two separate distances, there was plenty to keep the spectators entertained and with all the passings detected from every competitor, a comprehensive set of results was produced.
Next weekend is going to be a busy one, as we time both the EAS 'Chilly' 10k and the Trybike 'Chilly Duathlon' at Castle Combe.
A wet and windy day on the south coast in Bexhill, didn't deter almost 300 runners from turning out for the Bexhill Poppy Half Marathon on Sunday 9th November. DB Max Precision Timing were there to time the race, providing full instant results including lap times for the 284 finishers (see above).
Great event organised for charity by Paul and Lee Holdaway and their team and we're proud to say we achieved 100% detection once again for all runners completing the course with one of our nifty little transponders strapped to their ankle. Next week we're heading off to the Cirencester Off-Road Duathlon with Tri Ferris Promotions.
After a year researching the market, DB Max have finally launched their new event timing system. Backed by cutting edge equipment, built by the same company that recorded Usain Bolt's triple Olympic and World Records, in their first outing, DB Max Precision Timing successfully detected every single required passing of the 242 competitors that raced.
Splits were taken at bike out, bike in, run out and finish at the Malmesbury Triathlon on August 24th, with 242 detections at each point and full results available immediately upon crossing the line.
If you're interested in adding this timing service to your event, please email enquiries@dbmax.co.uk for a competitive quote. No job too small with special rates for events with 150 competitors or less.
