The Vobster Open-Water Swim Series will be held at the superb Vobster Quay dive centre near Radstock .
The series will be made up of two evening events and one Saturday event (The South West Swim).
Evening Swim Race Distances:
• Open Water Swims – 1500m or 3.8km
The South West Swin in September will host the Series Finale of the
H2OPEN National Open-Water Swimming National Ranking Series 2012.
South West Swim Race Distances:
• Open Water Swims – 1500m or 5km
The swims will be accurately measured and chip timed with the finish line in the water.
The event venue is Vobster Quay near Radstock. The dive centre is situated in the heart of Somerset with easy acces from the M4 and M5 (postcode BA3 5SA).
• Chip timing including results screen.
• Water safety cover.
• Showers and toilets.
• Food and refreshments available.
• Spot prizes on the night.
• Top series prize from Zone3.
• Swim hat and 9Bar for all swimmers.

• South West Swim 1500m – £12.
• South West Swim 3.8k – £16.
• South West Swim 5k – £20.
£2.00 additional fee for on the day entries.
Registration & Briefing Instructions – Evening Races
Registration and Day Entry: 17:35 to 18:45pm
Briefing Time: 18:50
Timing chips will be collected from the registration desk on race day. Nothing is sent out by post. Details of allocated numbers will be available online prior to the event and will also be displayed in the registration area at the venue.
Competitors must attend the race briefing on the day. Information on the course and rules relative to competitor safety will be outlined.
This is an open-water swimming event – Open-Water Swimming.
Timing Transponders
Please attach the timing transponder (MYLAPS ProChip) firmly to your wrist and under your wetsuit with the strap provided. This will ensure that all finish results are collected by the system. Timing chips will be collected at the water exit immediately at the end of the race.
Please return your timing chip as soon as you finish (even if you do not complete your race). Lost and unreturned timing chips will be invoiced at £75 each.
