The DB Max Bradford on Avon Open Water Aquathlon Series 2010 is set to improve DB Max’s summer event calendar as we launch the brand new series of mid-week open water aquathlons. The events will be held in the idyllic market town of Bradford on Avon – the same venue as the highly popular Bradford on Avon Triathlon 2010.

The aquathlons will comprise a 750m river swim (wetsuit required) and a flat, measured and marked 5km run along the canal tow-path. There will also be a stand alone 5k run race at each event. Both races will finish under the shadow of the historic Tithe Barn.

Whether you’re looking for fast racing, or high quality training events, this is a series not to be missed!

The event venue is the The Bradford and Avon Canoe and Rowing Club in Barton Farm Country Park. The park is well sign posted and is located off the B3109 on the edge of the historic town of Bradford on Avon. Ample parking is available at the nearby railway station (postcode BA15 1DF).

Series prizes will be awarded for the best accumulative performances from three out of four events. If four events are entered, the best three results will be counted.

Registration & Briefing Instructions
Registration and Day Entry: 17:30 to 18:30
Briefing Times: Five minutes prior to race start.
Race numbers and timing chips will be collected from the registration desk on race day. Details of allocated bib numbers will be available online prior to the event and will also be displayed in the registration area at the venue.
BTF members must show a valid BTF licence at registration or purchase a day licence (£3).
Competitors must attend the race briefing on the day. Information on the course and rules relative to competitor safety will be outlined, as well as important BTF information. Please also take the time to read the BTF Rules.
Competitors may not race with somebody else’s number and must not fold bib numbers.

Timing Transponders
Please attach the timing transponder (MYLAPS ProChip) firmly to your left ankle with the strap provided (chip fitting instructions). This will ensure that all finish results (as well as splits) are collected by the system. Timing chips will be collected in the finish funnel or marquee immediately at the end of the race.
Please return your timing chip as soon as you finish (even if you do not complete your race). Lost and unreturned timing chips will be invoiced at £75 each.
