Sodbury Slog 2017
The 2017 Slog will be held on Sunday 12th November 2017, starting from Chipping Sodbury School following the 2 minutes silence at 11am.
Organised by Bitton Road Runners the Sodbury Slog is quite simply not for the faint-hearted..! Forget roads this is a lung-busting, trainer-ruining, hill-climbing, multi-terrain 10 mile challenge. The Sodbury Slog is held over and through some of South Gloucestershire’s most stunning countryside.
Last year all 1300 places were taken within 40hrs!
Entry fees are just £20 for affiliated runners, and £22 for unaffiliated runners, plus Booking and Credit Card fee.
All entries will receive a quality technical tee-shirt and other goodies and as much mud as you can handle.
Attracting 1300 runners annually the route uses the same paths, fields, ditches and mud baths since its inception in 1990. The race is always held on Remembrance Sunday and is preceded by the Exhortation, a two minute silence and playing of the Last Post, which sets the scene for a memorable day. The race is then started at 11:05.
Race packs will posted to your entry address approximately 10 days before the race.
The Race T&C’s can be found here. Name changes need to be completed by Monday 16th October at 9am, any changes after this will still be permitted until 8am on the 23rd October but will have the old name on the race bib.
